Basement Chronicles

Racoon City

Just got back from Harding Lake, a short drive south on the Richardson from Fairbanks. Spent a day having fun in the sun, as the kids call it. Being a pasty white Alaskan, I got a nice sunburn. I also had the luck of wearing my sunglasses the entire time, so now I'll have a nice Racoon tan.

I had a blast getting my sunburn, though. The best man from the wedding I was at brought a few nice frisbees and I happened to be at the cabin with a bunch of firefighers who enjoyed Ultimate Frisbee, or "Frisbee Football", as much as I do. 'Twas fun, a little hard to run in water though. I can still feel the burn. The fact that we were even IN the water shows how nice of a day it was. No wet suits, no nothin', which is kinda unheard of for that lake.

On top of having a ton o' fun there, I also got to meet most of the Silides family, new and old. Featured here are the two newest additions to the family, Grace and Faith, learning the various dynamics of sharing.
